Projected Installation dates: Summer 2011

Running Fruit Ladders is a large scale art installation and show celebrating small family farms.  Dozens of multi-colored fruit ladders will appear in a conga-line formation, running alongside highways in the Columbia Gorge Scenic Area in the Pacific Northwest.

The “Inside Edition” of Running Fruit Ladders is a group show of art celebrating family farms.  It will be shown at The Pines in Hood River, Oregon, The Dalles Art Center in The Dalles, Oregon and at other venues to be announced.

See www.maherart.com“Installations” for a project summary.  See “Newsletter” for the Mosier Overpass Art Project and scroll down for RFL photos.

Photos are coming!

July had me photographing the goings-on here with our cherry harvest in full swing.  Two Dalles cherry growers have been kind enough to show me around during this very busy time. Thanks John and Gary!  I will post photos on my next blog.

Fundraising will be on the agenda next so the project can move forward.  Several sponsors have been contacted and have voiced support.  American Farmland Trust,  Hood River Residents Assoc. and Oregon Sustainable Agricultural Land Trust, (OSALT) are excited about supporting this event.
